Other Rhode Island public school options include charter schools or magnet schools. Rhode Island also has over 170 private schools to choose from, which may offer a religious tradition or specialized curriculum. Low-income families may qualify for certain scholarships to help with private school funding. Additionally, Rhode Island families may choose to homeschool their children as long as they notify the state of their intention.
